More than 200 seasonal jobs open at Jewelry Television

Nearly 250 jobs are available for the holiday season at Jewelry Television in Knoxville, and some of those could turn into permanent positions.

Jewelry Television, or JTV, is hiring for its customer care/call center and its warehouse. Open interviews will be held from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. every Thursday in October at JTV headquarters, 9600 Parkside Drive; or people can apply at www.jtv.com/careers or facebook.com/jtvcareers.

“Those hired now will start with us as soon as we are able to process their new hire paperwork,” Human Resources Director Jennifer Noggle said in an email. “We ask new hires to stay with us until around the first of February.”

Many of those hired for the holidays are only seeking a seasonal supplement to their existing jobs, and so don’t want to remain longer, she said.

“We hire temporary, but in many cases, we are able to retain employees that were hired for holiday into permanent positions if they are interested in continuing with us,” Noggle said.

Starting pay was not disclosed, but Noggle said there are first- and second-shift warehouse jobs and all shifts in the 24-hour call center available. Pay varies by position, she said.

Paid training is provided, according to a company news release. The jobs come with hourly pay, shift differential and incentives, plus benefits, a free onsite fitness center, access to a park with a walking trail, an employee discount and other perks, the news release said.

Jewelry Television has existed for 24 years, broadcasts round the clock to 85 million households, and sells online at JTV.com. The company currently has about 1,500 employees, Noggle said.
